Helicopter Wildlife Surveys
Helicopters are commonly used in aerial wildlife surveys, and Up North Helicopters has the experience and equipment to assist with game and wildlife helicopter surveys throughout the midwest and Great Lakes regions.
Aerial surveys can give valuable data for:
- Large scale infrastructure projects.
- Complying with USFWS Regulations with Eagle nesting surveys for new projects.
- Assisting local and state governments with deer herd management and migratory waterfowl surveys.
- Consulting firms and university researchers frequently demand new data for ongoing studies and changes to suitable habitat.

The 480B is the helicopter of choice for the Minnesota DNR, for it's comfort and unimpeded visibility from any seat for game counts. Remote site fueling can be provided to increase efficiency and get the job done in a timely manner. ARC GIS grid planning, route tracking, wires environment training, and support crew are provided.
